April 9th, 2015 – MINNEAPOLIS – The Family Partnership Twin Cities Healthy Start Program Supervisor, Betsy Bartek, was honored today with the Minneapolis Health Department’s Local Public Health Hero Award.
“Betsy has been with The Family Partnership for over 30 years, and her ability to connect with clients and train staff is key to her success and the positive outcomes of the Healthy Start participants,” said Kay Tellinghuisen, Vice President of Early Childhood Services. “We are all extraordinarily proud of Betsy and her accomplishments.”
In celebration of National Public Health Week, the Minneapolis Health Department recognized the accomplishments of seven community partners whose service to public health activities transforms and strengthens the lives of residents and visitors.
Other award recipients included, Appetite for Change, Children’s Dental Services, Latino Economic Development Center, Minneapolis Highrise Representative Council and Active Living Advisory Committee, MnTAP, and Southeast Como Improvement Association (SECIA).
