June 8, 2016 – MINNEAPOLIS – Announced today by The Family Partnership President and CEO Molly Greenman, The Improve Group’s Jennifer Obinna, Ph.D., has been selected to join the Board of Directors. Obinna joins 20 others on the 2016-2017 Board roster.
“Ms. Obinna brings a wealth of experience and expertise to The Family Partnership, as well as knowledge of our work and vision,” said Molly Greenman, The Family Partnership President and CEO.
With over 20 years of experience conducting research, program evaluation and strategic planning efforts, Obinna’s focus lies mainly on organizational development, preventing violence against women, racial disparities in the criminal justice system and understanding the effectiveness of mental health interventions in community contexts. She currently serves as the Research and Evaluation Director with The Improve Group in St. Paul.
Obinna is a member of the American Evaluation Association and the Minnesota Evaluation Association, and served previously on the Board of Directors for the Dane County Rape Crisis Center and the National Association of Social Workers. She holds a Ph.D. in Social Welfare and a Master of Science in Social Welfare from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work degree from the University of Minnesota, and is a certified ToP Facilitator and Qualified ToP Mentor Trainer (Technology of Preparation).
