May 15th, 2015 – MINNEAPOLIS – The Family Partnership was honored this week with the 2014-15 University of St. Thomas Outstanding Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Community Partner Award. The award was presented Tuesday at the University of St. Thomas Service-Learning Awards Reception.
The award recognizes The Family Partnership’s decade-long partnership with UST in community-based program evaluation, and UST students’ involvement in PRIDE and other programs.
The Family Partnership was nominated for the award by Dr. Lisa Waldner for its consistent work with her Sociology courses. Her nomination highlighted the valuable contributions that both the UST students and faculty, and community partners have on one another, and that these contributions are a positive indicator for service-learning and community engagement at the University of St. Thomas.
