$300 tax-deductible contributions for 2020!
On March 27, 2020, the house passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES). This bill created a new above-the-line deduction for total contributions of up to $300 in 2020. This is a short-term provision that expires in October of 2020 and would be claimed on your 2020 tax return. Find the details on the CARES Act here.
